Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee Dedicates 'Room of Magic'
June 15, 2006 - Hollywood, CA
The Elf Foundation is proud to announce the opening of the 58th 'Room of Magic' theater in Kanakee, Illinois at Riverside Medical Center. Locally managed by Ron Romano of Connected Community, the new theater features a Runco International CL-810 projector, a complete KEF 5.1 speaker system, and system control and automation from Crestron.
The wonderful people from RMC literally rolled out the red carpet for the representatives on hand from various Elf corporate sponsors and the night's dedication featured symbolic Oscar awards highlighting the contributions of everyone involved in bringing the amazing theater to completion.
"I'm blown away at how incredible the theater looked and sounded," said Bob Hana, president of Runco International and Kankakee native. "We're always happy to contribute to the Elf Foundation and it is especially nice that my own hometown's hospital has received one of these wonderful theater's for their kids who happen to have to come in for treatment."
Ron Romano and his talented team at Connected Community were the driving force behind the creation of Elf's latest 'Room of Magic'. He was able to get all of the design and installation work accomplished in under one year, which is fast by Elf's and hospital standards.
"We're really proud of our accomplishments and can't thank Elf, Runco, Crestron, KEF and Monster Cable enough for their generous support," said Ron Romano. "It's nice to be able to give something back to our community and to see the smiles on the kid's faces after they've had a tough day in the hospital."
